GROUND OPERATIONS DEVELOPMENT
Guardians: Concealed Carry Deployment III
This course is designed to provide the shooter with advanced level pistol skills. These skills will test the shooters ability to accurately draw from a concealed carry, move toward the target and discern information to determine shoot or no-shoot threats. Previous courses act as building blocks to move the shooter from novice concepts to advanced pistol skill sets.
During this course the students will be exposed to one-handed shooting, hostage head shots, multiple threats, shooting in pairs, movement through obstacles, shooting from behind barricades, and shoot/no-shoot targets.
Upon completion of this course the student will be tested with the administration of the State Law Enforcement Pistol qualification course. This test is a “go/no-go” requirement for the successful completion and certification of all three courses.
All pistol skills are perishable and should be routinely practiced. Although all these skills can make a shooter better, it is the continued practice of these and additional skills that will assist the volunteer church security team member if they are ever called to action to protect themselves or others.
